Truck Driver

Description:
There are various types of truck drivers, each requiring specific licensing endorsements. A truck driver could hold a job delivering beer locally in an automatic shift box truck or delivering highly dangerous radioactive waste interstate in an 18 wheel truck with air brakes. Those interested in a career as a truck driver should consider how far they are willing to drive, what types of goods they are willing to transport, and how much money they want to make. Answering those questions will help drivers narrow down the type of license they would need and potential employers. As a general rule, applicants should try to obtain a Class A CDL with as many endorsements as possible. This will allow you to get any work that would require a Class B or a Class C license. And the more endorsements you have, the broader the field of jobs you can hold.
